Approximately sixteen years ago the Sunflower Knitters Guild was formed by friends who loved to knit. The guild began on the Kansas side of Kansas City and is named after the Kansas State flower. Since our beginnings, we have continued to grow and we now number around 60 members.
As a guild, our mission is to:
- Uphold the standards and purposes of The Knitting Guild of America (TKGA)
- Inspire creative and artistic expression
- Impart information
- Expand the knowledge of knitting
- Enhance the quality of workmanship
- Support our local community
